The Lore
As the CEO & Founder of a leading IT consulting company, I’ve been attending various conferences on technology, business, market trends, consumer behaviour, and a lot more. But the Medicine and AI conference in Stanford that happened in August 2023 was a game-changer for me. Inspired by the discussions on AI’s impact on healthcare and how AI can help us discover critical insights that drive innovation and possibly change an industry forever. Thinking now, this would be the origin point for MEI AI.
I also had the opportunity to attend other events on similar topics by Salesforce, TechCrunch, and other industry disruptors in San Francisco, which solidified my vision for MEI AI, paving the way for what it is today.
With a bit more research and collaboration with the giants of this field, I believe that AI will be a trillion-dollar industry in the next few years. This will also go on to change our old habits, conventional business practices and ideals, and most importantly, the way we do business. I strongly believe that we are, and will be, witnessing a drastic shift in how we interact with technology, and yet, this is just the beginning of a new era.
The Name
Rooted in Tamil culture, MEI, meaning ‘The Truth,’ embodies insightful information and promise. Our platform is bounded by and built on this very principle. MEI AI delivers truthful insights by deploying cutting-edge Large Language Models (LLMs) while giving businesses absolute control and power over their data.
The Opportunity
Even in the wake of this powerful technology, enterprises still settle for off-the-shelf Large Language Models available in the market. With respect to how far we’ve come in this space, enterprises and brands have the opportunity to drive innovation in their industries like never before. Instead of using this powerhouse of technology as a language manipulator, we now have the means to explore endless possibilities before acting on one. This would be the equivalent of reinventing the wheel, one can say.
The major problem with off-the-shelf LLMs is that they are not pre-trained with the specific industry data that matter to your industry. Industry-specific LLMs require data ingestion,cleaning,creating a RAG pipeline,Observability, Prompt Engineering, Embedding and Evaluation techniques to be well-designed. Further integrating with the scalable cloud architecture will only put a dent in the shield.
